It’s a snow day today! The kids and I are going to do some art crafts, bake cupcakes, have a snow ball fight, and make some snow angels. They are super excited. Love Winter:)
My girlfriend in Park City, Utah just got engaged. He proposed to her on the mountain when they were skiing. To carry on the winter theme, they are using the “Snowflakes” Save the Date Magnet to announce their wedding! It is so cute!
Christmas Magic
by Kim on December 28, 2010 in Seasonal and Holiday
Merry Christmas! What a magical time of year. I love running to the mail box and getting Christmas cards from friends and family (many came from Paper Snaps…woo hoo!), baking, and spending time with family. But best of all, I love seeing Christmas through Ryan and Kate’s eyes. Their excitement grows each day as they count down for Santa and his reindeers to come. Their list continues to grow as they wait in anticipation for what Santa will bring. On Christmas Eve, they put out their reindeer food, cookies for Santa, and our family reads the night before Christmas in bed together. We tuck them in bed and we all listen for the bells. Oh, and Christmas morning, what a site! Dad goes downstairs to see if Santa has come, turns on the Christmas tree lights and starts up the coffee. As the kids come downstairs, they peek around the corner and their big eyes and their big smiles see that CHRISTMAS has come!! It is the best excitement, the best joy, and the best surprise!!! It is Christmas and it is MAGICAL!!!Christmas Cookie Madness turned Christmas Card Photo Opp!

I was all excited when my son said he wanted to decorate ginger bread cookies today. I put on our Christmas music, got out the decorating supplies and the kids pulled up the kitchen chairs to stand on. We were all happy, ready to decorate. I was super excited. Five minutes into it my son is crying because he thinks he is the worst at decorating cookies, my daughter is spilling the candy all over the counter and the frosting is getting all over our clothes. Although this is not what I had envisioned, I made sure to have my camera handy! I got some really cute pictures of our mess and the kids and plan to use them for our Christmas Card this year (Yes, I’m a bit late!!)
